Yes, that is true.
No, you increase more than 1kg.

In the very short term, you'd have 1kg of butter in your system, and weigh 1kg more.
I think you're asking if it's possible to gain more weight than the weight of what you consume. Well, there might be sort of but i'd have to dig further. The reason for it is that some foods bind to water, so you end up retaining more water and that increases your weight.
In terms of actual body fat gain, you can't gain more body fat than the fat you ate if those were your only calories, and since energy is burned in using that fat and building your own, it would be less than a 1:1 ratio.
No. In the process of being stored, that food may absorb water that is also stored.
And from where does the water come from?
I assume this is a rhetorical question. The point is that foods you eat can cause you to retain water that you would not otherwise retain.
It was not a rhetorical question at all. It is true that water might be retained, but in principle if you eat a kg of butter and nothing else after, your weight will only increase by 1kg at most. Now if you want to take into consideration other factors you should consider also that the human body does not have 100% absorption, part of the food is excreted and some energy is used to digest the food itself. So taking all into consideration I still think that you would not increase by more than 1kg. What is 100% sure though is that no more fat would be in your body than the quantity of fat that there is in the kg of butter.
That all makes sense on a theoretical level. The question is: does it work that way in practice? Is it possible that there are some variables for which you have not accounted?
I dont think so. Mass cannot be created out of nothing!
I am not suggesting that something could happen which would violate the basic laws of physics.
Then what are you suggesting? You said no did you not? That means you think that more weight is gained than the 1kg of butter!! Can you please explain to me where the extra weight comes from?
Water
I guess you ran out of idea, did you? Well anyways I still got a lesson out of this.
I had the one thought about water. I did not "run out of" ideas.

Doesn''t work that way
Convert the kg to energy in calories. 3500 = 1 pound of weight
The only thing you're getting after 1kg of butter is heart disease.
