Overwatch needs more characters?

I absolutely love Overwatch and can't get enough. So far I've made quite a few custom gamemodes that my friends enjoy, and the maps are great. But! I wanna see more characters! The game is so diverse as it is, yes, but I can't stop thinking of new, innovative characters that could be added to the game that I know others would enjoy! And even if they don't, that's what this is about: coming up with balanced characters for everyone to enjoy as an addition to the Overwatch crew.

Overwatch does need more characters but it's healthier for the game to roll them out slowly rather than frequent, maybe monthly releases.

It takes time to learn a new hero; how to play them, how to play against them, and how they work with different team comps.

Since OW is a class-based shooter like Team Fortress, it can be harder to balance abilities but new ideas are always good. If you have tons of ideas, it could be fun to flesh them out and post them to forums or the Overwatch subreddit.

that's what I was thinking. I feel like something else Blizzard should do is take a poll on what kind of hero is released next, after they add a new defense hero. I have a decent one of those in mind, haha

I don't know about the poll thing. The coolest thing about OW in my opinion is that they've created a multiplayer ONLY experience that they can still tell stories through. (The EMP on king's row, the doomfist gauntlet on Numbani, now stolen). I think it'd ruin part of the experience if they let too many outside voices affect game play /story telling. Community feedback is always good though

yeah, I get that, but I kinda mean like maybe the order the story is told in? since many of them are independent. say the map after the Lunar colony is an assault map on a massive carrier in the ocean? if there are one or two characters part of that story, maybe have the player base choose which is released first? just an idea.

also, I feel like all characters need a balance to have a passive... I don't know why

Overwatch is a FPS game made by Blizzard. It's extremely fun and popular, and an great topic to talk about in my opinion

xD FPS means first person shooter. Blizzard is the company, and I play on PC (computer)
