What are your texting pet peeves? (Page 3)

What annoys you about texting? It really grinds my gears when someone is bombarding me with messages if I don't answer within a few seconds.  "Did something happen?" "Are you still there?" "Are you mad at me?"  No, I'm taking a dump, relax.  Another thing that annoys me is when people are too lazy to spell  you  and  are . It doesn't take that much time to type  you  instead of  u  and  are  instead of  r .  There are plenty more things that annoy me because I apparently get annoyed very easily. Please share some of your pet peeves so that I won't seem so petty. 😅

“Hi” or “Hello” or any other one word greeting my that tells me NOTHING about the reason for the text. Get to the point. “Hi, I’m just catching up. All is ok” is so much better. “Hi” is annoying and I will usually either ignore it or come back with a dramatic response (once a person resorts to just “hi” I could care less about that relationship).

It depends. If it's a teen then I cut them some slack. But if it's an adult every response I have will be written out so "lol " becomes "laugh out loud"... etc.
