What do I do about a drone spying on me in the backyard while I'm tanning?

This morning I was laying out in my backyard sunbathing. My Home has a fairly big lot and a privacy fence around it so no one can really see in my backyard.

It's not uncommon for me to lay out and tan in just a thong. This morning I was laying in my lawn chair by the pool on my stomach. I kept hearing some buzzing noise but I thought it was coming from my radio at first. After a few minutes it disappeared and I didn't think much of it.

I rolled over onto my back and fell asleep for a little bit. I woke up maybe 30 min later to that buzzing and I saw a drone hovering like 10 feet over the top of me. I had seen the drone several times while laying out in the backyard but this time it was so close I could see it had a camera on it. I had not realized this in the past. here I am laying out topless and who knows how long this thing has been hovering over the top of me.

Is it possible someone can take pictures or videos with those things? Do you think I was being spied on? Should I call the police?

People get those kinds of drones to take photos and videos. Although they're probably just viewing what the drone is seeing.

I may be wrong, but if a drone is on your property, I'm not sure it would be illegal for you to destroy it. It is in the air, but that is still on your property.

Also, whoever is spying would then have to tell their parents or the cops what they were doing... which they sure as shit are not. Because, if I'm not mistaken, that is illegal as well.

If you're looking to destroy it, I would get a superlarge supersoaker gun. Drones are electronic. If it's some sort of waterproof drone, a hose. I doubt it can fly away before the hose hits it, and the force should knock it off course.

If that doesn't work, a net. That will stop the blades from spinning and cause the drone to come crashing down.

If I were you, I would block the camera and keep it. If it still works, you got yourself a free drone.

Have a t-shirt near you and a phone. Next time put on the t-shirt & pick up your phone like you’re calling the cops. When the drone is leaving follow it and see where it’s going. It’s probably owned by someone in your neighborhood. Video the whole thing. Then call the cops.

Yeah you were being spied on. I would contact the police immediately if I were you, who knows what will happen to those videos of yourself. So sorry you went through this!

if it's above that, call the airport and they'll send someone from the FAA because that's federal prison time

Nope. People who shoot down drones have to pay to replace the drone plus get in trouble for firing a gun in the air which there are laws against

I gave my nephew a drone for Christmas. He put a camera on it and took a lot pf pictures. There are laws protecting you form this kind of evasion of privacy. But trying to catch them is tough. I suggest a pellet gun and shoot it down. I live in a neighborhood of acreage size lots. I shot my invasion down with a shotgun. Blew it to bits. My wife and girlfriends sunbath nude during the summer. No more drones now. LOL

It's 81. Not warm enough to get in the pool but I can lay out until the end of January.
