Am I a bad person for using a sticky fly trap outside?

My aunt lives with me. There are a lot of flies around and it was bothering her, so we got one of those sticky fly traps a while ago. I decided to put it inside because I didn't want bats, and birds to get stuck on it. My aunt wasn't very happy about that, but she let me do it. A couple months ago we bought one of those bags that we stuck outside on my porch. The flies fly in but they can't fly out, and then they die from some kind of chemical inside. It's killed thousands of flies. We didn't buy any for a while, because they were no longer at the store so my aunt wanted to hang up the sticky trap outside that I had already put inside. She said just until we get the bag traps. So I went to the store today and they finally had the bag traps. So I bought two. I went to hang it on the deck, and my aunt said to leave the sticky one hanging up. I dont want to argue so I hung it back up on the porch. I hung it up against a wall where birds and bats are unlikely to fly. Does this make me a bad person? This is what the sticky trap looks like hanging on my porch.

How do you know it’s thousands? Anyway, flies dying is a normal part of life. They’re pests and carry tons of germs. Dying is in their job description. Trust me, for every thousand you kill, ten thousand are being born elsewhere. Killing even a thousand won’t make them extinct.

I bought a fly trap but I am afraid to use it cause the fly trap kills flies by zapping them with a laser and I am afraid it will accidentally set the house on fire by inducing heat in the home. I am assuming that has never happened because their rating on Amazon is almost 5.0. But my mother won't let me experiment to see if it is safe for home bound use.
