Got any wild and crazy family photoshoot stories 🤪?

Today was rough. I need a nap.

Before we even left the house oldest decided to make himself a cup of coffee (even though we said their was not enough time) and spilled it on his brand new light blue shirt. Hubs and I dabbing at it and ironing it got most of it out and dried. 😐

When we got there youngest was running around, into the dirty brush, into the road, hiding behind oldest, hiding behind me, chewing on oldest’s shirt, insisting on scrunching his eyes closed. And oldest doing bunny ears, riling youngest up and chasing him, messing with his hair, putting him in a headlock, photobombing youngest’s individual photos.

And I got stung by a wasp but still managed to maintain my composure. 🙄

Somehow in this 30 min span all of the above happened and apparently some family pictures were taken as well.

My arm hurts, it swelled up a bunch, thank goodness the photographer had Zyrtec. 2.5 hours out and the swelling seems to be going down. Hopefully win’t be visible in the photos.

I am so glad I spend so much time and money coordinating all our outfits and organizing this shoot. Fingers crossed we get 1 or 2 good ones.

Let's get over the fact I was put in that thing, but my mother told me she had to struggle to keep me still in that photo because I was literally jumping up and down and overall being a little running ball all around the garden.

Some years later, not only did my behavior improve, but also the choice of clothing, up to a point. I'm standing in front of a graveyard at night, for some reason.

We took a Christmas photo every year with my 3 kids. This was before digital photography. We would go through a 36 exposure roll of film and would be lucky to get one usable print.

That checks out. That was our covid Christmas card. 35 takes of youngest not looking. Then finally a good one. Thank goodness for digital cameras.

It sounds like you had an exciting day. If I got stung I'd have to be rushed to the hospital because I'm highly allergic.
To answer your question, we don't take scripted photos. We just take pictures at parties. It's a lot easier that way

Impromptu photos are fun. Once a year we like to support our favorite photographer of 10 years because we love her and she has given us a lifetime of memories.
