What are your craziest MIL or in-laws stories?

I was seeing this Instagram account asking her followers for crazy mother in law stories and some of them were so messed up. I wonder if any of you guys have such stories as well. 😂

I have none but when my sister's husband dyed his hair brown, my parents scolded the shit out of my sister almost every single day until he dyed his hair black again so yeah my parents are also the controlling in-laws. 🤷 I seriously don't understand why South Asian in-laws (especially MIL of girls) are so invasive and controlling oh my god. Some of the stories were borderline abusive. Slapping the daughter in law because she refused to have sex with her son during period? How on Earth does she even have the right to know about either of them? Really? And what's with thinking they can casually enter their daughter in laws labor room and complain why it's taking so long?

God, I would rather have an average husband and awesome MIL than the opposite.

Also not a MIL story but my ex's mom, when she felt like he's dating someone (she didn't know about us) casually told him "make sure it's not some dark-skinned girl. A 'black' girl roaming around the house, OMG!! And she must not be from a rich family, those girls are spolied and disobedient." Um I'm dark AND my dad is wealthy. Ouch.

My ex-wife's parents were both miserable alcoholics. On her best day, my mother-in-law was meaner than a snake. She believed that everyone else in her family was crazy. . . and that was true, because they all received half of their DNA from her.

The very first time I met my future father-in-law, he explained to me that he was dying. Every time thereafter that we spoke, he explained to me that he was dying. Fifteen years later, he finally died.

When my mother-in-law became terminally ill, she disliked the rest of her family so much that she wanted to come live with us to die (165 miles from her home,) rather than remaining with her husband and other children. She died within 24 hours of coming to our home. Another one of her children accused us of poisoning their mother for her money, although she died destitute. At her mother's funeral, my wife (now ex) had protection from the sheriff's office because of a death threat from the other family member.

I don't have any, but I heard about one where the mother was insisting on all the details of the wedding being her way. The daughter was very upset about it, understandably so, and called into a radio show. The host destroyed the mother. He kept asking, who said she gets two weddings in her life?

My grandma on my dad's side told him that my mom would leave him and run away to las vegas or hollywood or was a drug addict and only liked him for his money. To this day she claims my mom hates her and won't talk to her.

Not an inlaw story but my ex's mom got mad at me because i didn't let him beat me up. Said it was my job to let hin take out his frustrations and blamed me for every bad choice he made. Also thought i was a witch and literally gave him holy water. She also refused to acknowledge our relationship. Would always say "friend"

oh you know what.. in for a penny, in for a pound... well its not negative...

So my girlfriend and her sisters get on really well, i get on really well with them, like too well... it makes other people uncomfortable, so usually on nights out or at parties we all get very friendly, my girlfriend is fine with it, and on occasions she has encouraged it to.. well more extreme situations.

The "normal" type things are grabbing/slapping bums, or making suggestive comments, e. g one sister once grabbed my arm and said "oo where are your muscles" i said "i dont have any in my arms they are in my legs" and she looked me in the eye and winked and said "oh.. your muscle is down there eh?" ... just silly stuff like that, but to a lot of people its weird and messed up and uncomfortable. Its usually them that instigates it, i just give back what they do to me... going to run away now...
