I'd spend five real-world minutes with the love of my life, "K." She'd still die, like she did in real life, but by cancer or something this time around. That way, we'd fine out three years into the simulation and by the 4 and a half year mark, I can finally have a proper goodbye and resolution to her going away. Then by the fifth year/minute, I'd leave the virtual world. It'd be "real enough" for me to move on and have closure. But for the first three and a half years, we'd love each other and spend what felt like an eternity in those 3.5 real-world minutes.
