Yes, women are more picky. It's simple biology.

Even though we humans have sex for fun, and not just for procreation, each of us has an instinct to select our partners based on a desire to procreate, to continue our genealogical line.

That instinct drives us to select our sex partners...

Women have one egg a month, and are only fertile for about 35 years in their life, from puberty to around 50. Therefore, women pick partners who are healthy and fit and would help them produce healthy offspring.

Men, on the other hand, have millions of sperm and are fertile from puberty until they die. Biologically, for men, it's a numbers game... impregnate as many women as possible and you've got a good chance that some healthy offspring will result.

Of course. Men are biologically programmed to have sex with as many women as possible, so they're much less picky. Women are the choosers/deciders, which means they have to be more picky. Women are also more affected by sex and certainly by pregnancy, so biological realities naturally make women more picky.

Guys are lucky if a girl says “nice haircut”, let alone sex. We are completely disposable and practically invisible to women. They can just about have their pick, which is why they get their panties in such a bunch when a guy they like blows them off or doesn’t reciprocate.

Of course. If you have 200 potential partners on a night out or two, that changes how picky you get. No need to complicate things beyond that. They can be more picky due to demand and supply, therefore they are.

Not really, just less willing to admit their shallowness. Men will generally have sex with almost any attractive woman given the opportunity, women say they are picky, then go for the lamest douchebags because of looks.
