Definitely girls, and it's based in biology.

Mother Nature made humans, actually all creatures, with an innate desire to procreate, have offspring, and continue the species.

Human females have just one egg a month, and are only fertile for a few days, so they must be selective in their partner, to fertilize that egg.

Human males, on the other hand, have billions of sperm, always fertile, and can impregnate any female at any time so they don't have to be selective.

Yes, I know sex is not why we select a partner, but the underlying biology does play a role, whether we are aware if it or not.

Seems clear to me that a large percentage of the questions asked here can be explained seemingly very clearly by the biological effects of nature and evolution.

I think that many people attribute to nurture what they should be attributing to nature. They tend to be on the opposite side of the political aisle from me. I see them as blaming society for things that are perfectly natural and in alignment with natural design of the human species through evolution.

Most likely girls.

One of my basis on that is dating sites/apps. There are far more men on there, especially desperate men, than women. The ratio is generally something like 95% men to 5% women. So women have way more choices in men, and they get more picky. Meanwhile a lot of men are lucky if they match with even one woman.

Also in general, I see a lot of lonely desperate guys longing for a girlfriend than the other way around.

In comparison the only desperate women I see are the ones who are considered way below average by society in terms of appearance. If a woman is at least average she'll usually be asked out by a lot of guys.

Questions like this are not a good way to look at things, since both sides have their own points, and usually people will just pick the side that resonates best with them.

But a common phenomenon that more or less combines my viewpoints with yours: The greasy, dirty, 600 pound male basement dweller who hasn't showered in months and has zero social life, still lives with his parents, etc. He's desperate for a woman. And yet at the same time he wants "the perfect woman." Oblivious to all his obvious flaws, he wants a skinny woman with a perfect hourglass figure, tiny waist, huge ass, huge boobs, who exists only to serve him and his sexual needs, perfectly shaved body, long flowing hair, beautiful eyes, etc. As pathetic as he is he wants a woman light years out of his league. He won't settle for just "any woman."

But yeah. I agree with your points. I also stand by my original points, as that explains "the male side." But you perfectly explained "the female side."

Men have way more standards but will settle for whatever woman is in front of them because they're desperate and can't get women they want.. Women have a few standards but are more strict with sticking to them. So it's kind of 50/50 both picky but in different ways

I have an older cousin I’m very close with, she’s only 30 but I look up to the way she goes about dating. I guess by old school I meant the whole courting process, not meeting online through apps/sliding in their DMs, going on a proper date, only talking to one person at a time and taking time to get to know them.
