It is raw chicken served as sashimi. My wife is from the southern province of Japan called Kyushu. And eating raw chicken is a thing there and so she goaded me into trying on I think maybe around our 7th or 8th date.
But I spent enough time in the US and learning about cooking to know that raw chicken is a serious health hazard. Yet I tried anyway. But I kept wondering if I should go to the hospital after.
It was actually delicious. I should probably eat raw animals more often: chicken, pork, beef, bat, frog, turtle, whatever. From a taste standpoint, it's all good, especially with ginger and soy sauce. But you know, I don't want a worm growing inside my brain or my intestines. I want to be like one person of one mind.
I'm pretty keen on raw meats and fish especially in sushi, and I love my beef blue but ai think I might draw the line at raw chicken especially as you said we know it to be potentially harmful.
@DonkeyDan It's a scary thing! To my understanding, they select the chickens carefully, freeze the meat first, things like that to make it "safe". But I never got over the idea. I don't want to eat again. :-D I still got it in my brain from cooking like undercooking chicken is a way to send people to the hospital.
@DonkeyDan Not long after that date, I had to go on another one of my business trips to the US. Then I went with my colleagues to a restaurant and they ordered steaks, the waiter asked them how they'd like it done, and they selected their favored doneness. But I ordered chicken, and he asked me how I'd like it done, so I was like, "Well done! Please!" Then he laughed so hard and said he was just teasing.
But that joke flew over my head since I had just eaten raw chicken in Japan. :-D
Oops WTF, I accidentally deleted a whole paragraph there (bit tipsy right now). Anyway, the first one was about the date with my wife where she got me to try torisashi.

@CrazyGirl2 Welp, thanks for the English lesson, along with the lesson on how to talk about women. This is the one venue I've seen where men and women CAN talk trash about each other, and do from both sides of the sexes. I don't know who you are and I really don't give a fuck if I ever do.

Just reading this, it appears that you were the only person to give any “English lessons” when (it looks like) you tried to embarrass her by pointing out that the proper noun “Google” should be capitalized. All she did was try to explain why she doesn’t Cap the “G” in Google because of her beliefs re: Google changing their motto from “Don’t Be Evil” which seems pretty reasonable, really. So what English lesson did she give you?

Yes but the "oh god put that in my mouth" thought didn't occur while looking at food, just a normal desire to eat the food. However that thought did occur, but unfortunately it was not while looking at food.
Definitely. Got to go pick up some nasal drops tomorrow. Sounds like a weird treatment 😂 but i only have the headache because of my eustachian tubes being stuffed.
