+1 yNope, I live on my boat and actually I sleep with the hatches open, because I used to sleep with it closed up, but then I got this air monitor that measures everything and I realized how much better my air quality is when I leave my door open to the outside 24/7. I love having fresh air, so it makes sense to leave it open.

In the past, when I lived in a house or apartment, I didn't really lock any doors, ever. Maybe the bathroom door when I lived with a lot of people, just to avoid having someone walk in when I'm on the toilet. Actually, now I don't even care if someone is walking in when I'm on the toilet, if we're friends, it's fine lol.

It's funny people thought that was a sexual question, but honestly the first thing I thought when I saw it was "why, did your dad used to come in and rape you as a kid?" Locking the bedroom door seems like a statement that you don't trust the world, and think something bad will happen to you.

And 3, well it's strange but when I have the door shut, for some reason it opens itself. Been happening for quite a while now and I can find no explanation for it. I've set up a camera on the door, but whenever I have the camera running it doesn't do it, which freaks me out a even more. Someone suggested I get a lock for the door and lock it, but honestly I don't want to do that because if door opens after I've locked it, I'm not going to want to live here anymore. 👻

I close the door when AC is required but I don't lock it as dad comes to check on me few times. I don't close it in normal days though and even if I close it my dad will open it wide after checking on me.

u +1 yI live with my girlfriend and my cat, and she is locked in her bedroom at night (the cat.) No need to close the door.
10 Reply Whenever I visit my grandparents, I sometimes spend the night over there. While I'm sleeping I always play my Alexa because my music helps me sleep. But apparently my grandparents wake up in the middle of the night just to unlock my lock door just to turn off my Alexa while I'm out cold then when I wake up I don't hear no music. We kept doing it every night whenever I come over, so I have to buy myself a barricade bar to barricade my door whenever I sleep so they can't come in.
10 Reply3.7K opinions shared on Other topic. I actually sleep with my door open i have a small fear that someone would break in and kill everyone attack or try to kidnap and i would not hear it, so i keep it open so if that ever does happen then i wake up & my investment into the 2nd amendment comes out. But i don't expect that to ever happen but it's always been the reason i keep. my door open, to many lifetime movies my mom watched as a kid traumatized me.

Why not lock it? Gives an extra barrier between you and an intruder and it takes less than a second to lock/unlock it.10 Reply When I lived with my parents I locked it every night. They do not respect privacy.
