I don't get proven wrong very often, but it does happen from time to time, and I have no trouble admitting that I was wrong. One of the reasons I rarely get things wrong in the first place is that I am always willing to learn, and because I don't just believe a single source, but rather I do my research and actively seek out contrary opinions and see if their arguments are valid. Sometimes they are.

Most people want simple answers to complex questions, and that's rarely possible - but people unwilling to do the work are more likely to just believe whatever makes them feel good, without much regard for the actual reality of the situation. Too many people don't like hearing answers that make them uncomfortable or puts any responsibility on them, so they ignore or deny the truth - often at their own expense, but also almost always with lots of collateral damage to others.

I'm a big believer in knowing what you are facing, even if it's bad or difficult, because you can't solve problems that you just ignore - you only make them worse.

Rare but tbf I search up a lot of things before I make a comment on something. I wouldn't say it if one couldn't back it up by simple logic or research online. So this highly decreases such chances of been wrong. Unless if what I research just straight up lies but doubtfully multiple generic sources are.
I admit when I am wrong if so.

A handful. I try and stay open to the idea I could be wrong on most things. But there are some I can't compromise on and that's usually what messes up.

Lots of times people have told me I was wrong but I have never seen any hard proof. It is just somebody's opinion.
