What does “Ahan” mean?

Like if you’re messaging someone and tell them a statement & they respond with “Ahan” Is that the same as “uh huh” ? Or “I see” ? I don’t get it

Technically yes but has lived in America the last 15 years. He’s used it a few times before always as a response to a statement. But I googled it and still didn’t see much

I would just ask him about it. a lot of times foreigners have a certain way of texting, even if they've been in America for a long time.
