When people are really insecure (both men and women), they're usually closed off and trapped in their heads, and lose the ability to focus on the needs and desires others.

Why do some guys say highly insecure women are keepers/nice/worth pursuing?

And what would you assume about a guy who believes that pursuing a highly insecure woman will lead to a rewarding relationship?

Maybe because they're the insecure ones so they are less likely to leave you? That's the only reason I could give.

However, this is the first time I've ever seen/heard someone mention this. That an insecure person is a keeper.

My uncle is similar. But from what I’ve learned about him, I think he prefers insecure women because they’ll be dependant on him and less likely to leave.

I think they mean a shy girl seems to have more Values. They could also mean that a Shy-Insecure GRL as it relates to Relationships is easy to manipulate in all areas therein
