I have thankfully rarely lost my keys permanently since I am SO PARANOID about my keys. Like I literally check where my keys are periodically when I am out and about in public but for some reason, if I'm stressed, I have a tendency to leave my keys IN THE FRONT DOOR KEY LOCK... OVERNIGHT smh. I truly have spirit guides watching over me whenever I wake up safely after having those mishaps.
For the sake of the question though, the first thing I would do is see if I can break into my own home since I usually leave my window fully shut but unlocked and I have a security camera to ward off trespassers. if that didn't work out then I would call my landlord that lives 15 minutes away by car to hand that spare key over.

I’ve locked myself out of my house many times. At one point with a pit on the stove. Luckily it was supper and one of the windows were open.
Now we just leave a spare key with the neighbours.
As for my car, probably call CAA
Well for my house I would use the emergency key which can never enter the house. Thus I can always get in. My mom has her car key in her purse, and takes it everywhere. The backup one is in our kitchen drawer, so as long as neither is out of battery, her car can always be driven. I don't know about my dad as he doesn't like driving. I don't drive.
When I lived in college I did it a few times, but most of the time it wasn't my fault. I left my door open when I went to get a shower and my roommate closed the door behind them leaving the room, either unaware that I was in the shower or forgetting it.
I got locked out of my house the morning I got carjacked, since my house key was on the same keyring as the car key, and the garage door opener was in the car.
I just smashed one of the panes of glass on the back door to the garage and let myself in. Later I screwed a chunk of plywood over that door, both to patch it up, and to make it harder for someone else to break in so easily.

Get a wedge, get a metal rod, get back in. Works well for cars or houses.
I got into the habit of carrying an extra set of car keys because my last vehicle had some stupid automatic lock feature and if I closed the door with the keys inside with the motor running like if I was at the dump it would lock. my current truck has a combination lock keypad so I can get in without a key. That is a really well thought out feature that is actually useful.
If I lock myself out I always look for a way to get back in without breaking any windows or doors.I only ever locked myself out of the house once, and that was because I left the key in the back of the door. I called one of my friends who has very skinny hands and arms to put his hand through the letterbox and pull the key out so I could use my other key to open the door. 2 of my neighbours hold spare keys, and I always check the lock inside before leaving to make sure I've not left the spare in the lock.
Get the spare. I zip locked a key on my car (no one could find it unless they were seriously looking on my car)
Got A code box right by my front door that has a key to the house but obvi need the code to open it.I’ve locked myself out of my truck plenty of times and still doing it. I have a thing about locking my door at all times. Sometimes I forget to grab my key before locking the door. Anyways, The first time it happened I was at a truck stop so I went inside and brought a locksmith kit. Simple! I also hid a copy under my engine just in case I do it again.😁
Oh well time to live the street life. Nah it's fine my window is usually open so just find a way to climb in.
Either I’ll call or shout to someone to help. Else I’ll try to break the door or window
Try to figure out a way to get back in. If none are available, call the cops and ask them to help.
It depends on the situation. if it was to be a house and at my own place, then i would break in. If it is a car i call a mechanic for that. Since they have tricks on that.
Had to break into my house a few times. Don’t think a I’ve ever locked myself out of a vehicle
Oh God! I hope this doesn't happen to me when I go to college.
I always leave one window slightly open so I can just get in from there if I locked myself out from the house.

I have spares... somewhere
I'd use the "flowerpot key".
Break the lock or tell babe to open it.
Scream and dying inside.
Smack the window glass
Call the Landlord to help me get into
litterally the first thing: curse.
If no way to get in I call pop a lock
