Would/Should gingers be classified as a Minority Group?

Before I start no Ginger isn't just people that have red hair like Brunnets and Blonds it people who have Pale white skin really sensitive to the sun and thanks to our lowered melanin which means we are a lot more sensitive to sun rays and heat.

I've wondered this question if gingers should be counted as a Minority group and not just because I am a ginger myself but because of days like Kick A Ginger Day every November 20th. and Gingerism may I wasn't part of this but many kids do get bullied for having red hair and weak pale skin
we are always joked about how each freckle is a stolen soul (Now it is a funny stereotype but I bet like all Stereotypes they can be taken too far)

There have been calls in the past to outlaw discrimination based on hair colour with many arguing it's one of the last socially acceptable forms of discrimination.
I have two concerns, first gingers a hair colour not a group in the same way being black or gay makes you part of a group. Secondly it would put gingers in danger as right-wing anti ginger hate groups sprang up in protest.

Yes they should. There aren't many gingers in the world and I've heard of the prejudice and hatred that they face. It's so stupid and sad.
