I think the other version is called either Ken or Kevin. I asked that question and got several different answers for the male version of a Karen.

The Karen idea comes from an Australian politician who banned a provocative type of Japanese manga or anime comic in Australia. So her name was Karen. And no I have never been called a Karen.
