Question for pet owners.. My rabbit licks me and stare?

I have a bunny he stares at my face and starts to lick my hand and feet if i stop petting him he will start licking me again... this morning i kisses his head and he licked my hand i kissed him again and then he licked my hand again do they understand kiss and affection of the owner?
Also i hear him grinding his teeth when i pet him what is that for?
