At first in Italy when I heard a couple in a tour group commenting that she was sad when one of the menus had rabbit stew. At first I be thinking they must be eating domestic rabbits meant as pets. But after doing all the research, they don’t. They only eat other rabbits which were not meant as pets. This rabbit is meant to be a petThis rabbit is meant to be food for us
Do you eat rabbits even though you have a pet rabbit which is not meant to be eaten?
Most meat rabbits are kept in cages and fed standard diet of water, rabbit pellets, hay, and the occasional treat just like pets. In America commercial meat rabbits are typically Californians or New Zealands. Other than that people hunt cotton tails and eat them.
