What is it that you keep wanting to smell despite the fact that it doesn't smell particularly good?

The (petrichor) smell of raindrops that 1st lands on the soil, adds up to my relaxation mood. The smell of new books makes me want to read more.

I live near a river and small mountain from my apartment. The apartment building is new and just opened in March 2022. Every day, biking to work, and coming home from work, I have to cross a bridge with the river below. The river smells terrible; like farts. Or, whatever that smell is of fertilizer and polluted water. Despite it having a strong funky methane smell, I like it, because it's very natural and reminds me of nature. Well, maybe not "like." But, it reminds me of the outdoors and it's a small escape from all the city BS. A lot of the awful smells from nature give me a relaxed feel. Sometimes, I want to get away from all the bright lights and concrete.

I could also say I like the musky smell of my own balls, cause it reminds me of sex, but I won't go there cause that's probably gross.
