It IS kind of strange that so much of what people think about is about death, but that's just what lasted; I'm pretty sure if you brought an ancient Egyptian to the present day and showed him depictions of where and when he came from, he'd be VERY confused (he'd probably ALSO be confused if you *didn't* show him those depictions, because, you know, airplanes).
And modern attitudes are WEIRD- they're almost seen as not quite human. A few years ago, I was at the Field Museum (one of Chicago's biggest and best), and noticed that an exhibit on Indians of the Pacific northwest had had a display closed, with the sign saying that they'd realized that what was being displayed may have violated Indian burial ground regulations. Fair enough; mistakes happen. But it was PHRASED such that it was apologetic toward the Indian peoples in question. And while THAT is understandable, it's also inconsistent when less than two hundred yards away, they're displaying the actual mummified bodies of ancient Egyptians. Obviously, their culture isn't around to complain, but it's not like the people ceased to exist; there's no shortage of Coptic folks around even today. Why is showing THEIR ancestors okay when it's not for the Indians?
Egypt had one of the earliest advanced civilizations, with a lot of technology, and I find that fascinating. Perhaps the Sumerians were up there (they were earlier), but we don't have nearly as much evidence. A lot of ancient Egypt survived because it was all in stone.
The next civilization to reach Egypt's level was the Romans, several thousand years later.
One of my customers spent 3 weeks in Egypt earlier this year and has amazing pictures.
Desecration. Those people spent their entire lives building their tombs, and then people come along, in our generations, and just previous ones, break them open and ransack them for their own selfish gains.
Thanks for mhg

They were the first major culture to practice circumcision
In Egypt, it was typically done on adolescent men who were about to be initiated into the priesthood or as adult males of the noble class. It is not clear that this is the case from archaeological and historical records, but Egyptian circumcision may also have been used to demarcate a special elite class. Egyptian circumcision is depicted on temple walls where young men are seen being restrained as a priest performs the circumcision with a knife.
The form of circumcision that westerners are most familiar with is complete removal of the foreskin or prepuce, as it is practiced in Judaism.
However, in ancient Egypt and other cultures in Africa, only part of the foreskin was removed.
Mummies, man.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/p7C0arR310gArcheologists. Not ours, but the fact that there's been civilizations in Egypt for so long that thousands of years ago they already had their archeologists digging for things that they considered ancient for them. Archeologists can find items that belonged to ancient archeologists looking for even more ancient things.

All of the above, mostly about how modern archaeology, along with other schools of history has completely invalidated the idea of "Jewish slaves" building the Pyramids. Just not possible.
The exodus myth is debunked.
king tut
That's not what he looked like:
It kind of makes me wonder why Jews don't all seem to be blaming their failures in life on some Egyptian who had Hebrew slaves 4000 years ago.
Nope, it really doesn't. Lol
The giant ancient rare albino alligators that like take up the entire like sacred courtyard XD.
Lol! You forgot the all of the above option. I actually went to Bible school for a bit and studied ancient Egypt a little. It’s SO cool!!
I think of black Americans trying to claim Egypt as a black civilization, which it wasn't.
Ancient Egypt is awesome ! ... You can read about it and never get tired... I've been to museums and it was amazing... Never been to the pyramids tho 😅... I'm Egyptian by the way
Hieroglyphs, mainly because I love the old Egyptian art style for whatever reason
It looks interesting and terrifying all at the same time

They pulled people's brains out through their noses when mummifying them.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/wgTPH5y1-ZIPyramids were built with slave labor, so no respect for them from me.
Actually they were more like conscripts.
I've been to egypt when I was a child, way before puberty. Anyway all I remember the best is the hotel desert, a fruitcake. Also having to go to pyramids when a movie playd about volcano climbers that got trapped before it was about to erupt.
Spending money on family vacations when kids are young won't leave them as much memories as older age travelling.
