They're a fine folk. I remember fondly my trip up to your national igloo and had s'mores with my tour guide Mukluk. It was -60 deg outside and my testicles were frozen together but the warmth shown by Mukluk made it feel like it was +60. I will forever cherish the pet beaver bequeathed to me as a gift, that I named Woody. I had Woody for a number of years before his untimely demise of a tree falling on him. He's now stuffed and acts as a deterrent to solicitors. I can't wait to partake in glorious Canadian pastimes like moose jousting and polar bear wrastling in the future.
When I visited Toronto, I was amazed at how good looking the population was. I'd say 1% of people in my town are really good looking, but in Toronto, I'd say it was 50%. That's a huge difference.
A lot of the content I've seen regarding Canada has been student protest related (just college students protesting about racism or cultural appropriation, twitter stuff) so nothing exactly positive but beside that, it's just a regular country with normal people and I don't think much of them. 🙂
Thing is... I absolutely love them, not only for the syrup, but their MASSIVELY JUMBO-sized Hershey's bar at their gas stations. (At least to the one I had been to, anyway).

But from what I hear y’all kinda talk like us midwestern folks. Constantly saying thank you, excuse me and of course I’m sorry or the midwestern thing to say ope sorry. Lol.
They are too passive when it comes to what they let their government decide. Nobody in their right minds would allow a leader to disarm them because why would your leader need to ban weapons unless he plans to do something you'll shoot him for?

Every Canadian I've ever met, and I've met quite a few, is very nice. Then again, I guess you'd have to be nice to live in a country that's Winter 9 months out of the year.
Been living in Canada for about 3 years and will be moving away again soon. My experience is mostly limited to Quebec and well.. Everyone seems to try making everything in life as hard as possible, it's honestly funny how inefficient everything is. Culture seems to be such a big part of people their lives here, it gets old real quick. I imagine it's quite different outside Quebec.
I am Canadian. I think it all depends on the province. But sadly I am not as happy to live here as I once was. Our government is a complete and utter disgrace
Do you follow the National Lacrosse League? You know, box lacrosse - invented in Canada about 90-100 years ago - is the National Summer Sport of Canada. Box lacrosse is the indoor version of the sport and played in a hockey rink. In Canada, the Mann Cup - the top lacrosse cup in Canada - was just won for the 4th consecutive year by the Peterborough Lakers. This year, they defeated the Langley (BC) Thunder.
The NLL is a North American professional league that plays in winter and spring. The league is about to start its 36th season. It began as northeast league, but has spread across North America and most of its players are Canadian or First Nations/Native Americans (who invented the sport of lacrosse centuries ago).
This season, the NLL will have 14 teams: Albany FireWolves Buffalo Bandits Calgary Roughnecks Colorado Mammoth (defending champions) Georgia Swarm Halifax Thunderbirds Las Vegas Desert Dogs (owned by Wayne Gretzky and Steve Nash) New York Riptide Panther City (Fort Worth TX) Lacrosse Club Philadelphia Wings Rochester Knighthawks Saskatchewan Rush (*) Toronto Rock (but they play in Hamilton now) Vancouver Warriors
(*) The Saskatchewan Rush play in Saskatoon. For many years, they were the Edmonton Rush and won several championships. The owner had to move the team from Edmonton due to arena issues, but expect that Edmonton will get another NLL team within 10 years. Probably Ottawa and/or Montréal and/or Winnipeg too.
