How do you view Canadians?

I used to view Canada as an ally of the US but the more Canadian documentaries and television shows that I watch the less I view them as allies. They seem to be preoccupied with insulting the US at the same time they are jealous of us.

The more I learn about them the more I gradually lose respect for them.

• They treat their Asian-Canadians like second class
• They constantly b*tch about the US
• They are arrogant
• When Russia or China flex their muscles, Canada is quick to cower behind the US, the same country they like to mouth off against.
• Canada is infested with far left wing politics
• They constantly like to brag about never losing a war although many of their wars were against greatly weakened enemies and they also did get their asses whooped at Dieppe by the Germans in a fair fight.
• Canadians are mostly unrepentant of the Japanese-Canadian internment

I know not all Canadians are bad people, there are even individual Canadians I respect but for the most part I just don’t like Canada since their society is an absolute mess. Their climate and wilderness are nice though.

@bean2k21 that government controlled healthcare gives Canadians lower infant mortality, lower maternal mortality, higher lifespan, better management of diabetes.. people are happier, healthier and better educated in Canada than the USA. All those are non controversial facts you can look up.

Canada has amazing Healthcare, until you get sick and actually need it. Certain pill aren't available that treat life threatening illness like PAH. I'm talking about Adzirca, because it's too expensive. Physical therapy is rarely an option because you shouldn't need it. Let's talk about dialysis, you're lucky to get it if you're over 65. Contrary to popular belief, people in the U. S are not dying due to poor health care.

@bean2k21 I’m American but moved to Canada. I gave birth here and it was entirely free, I just went to an amazing hospital had a c-section, had a beautiful room for several days, free lactation consultants. Everything was just free. No wonder Amelie an infant mortality is so high.

Americans literally die because they can’t afford insulin. Insulin is free here.

@bean2k21 same here. All my hospital stays have been free. I didn't need to leave the country to get a handout. Infant mortality rate is lower in Canada because they don't consider premature babies with little chance of surviving part of that stat. They also give birth at a much younger age. Also, to compare something as insignificant as childbirth to the over all Healthcare is moronic! I represent people every year that want to come to the US for access to life saving health care. My uncle was one of them. He almost died because they were refusing him dyalisis.

@bean2k21 ok you have no idea what you are talking about. First Americans consistently rate among the stupidest countries on PISA international testing, in math science and reading. The same test is given in all countries.

Second my sister had a baby in the USA and she had deductibles, had to handle a mess of paperwork to get insurance to cover the rest, and then she didn’t get a good maternity leave because the USA doesn’t have federal mandates maternity leave.

Third infant mortality and maternal mortality and other facts like diabetes management are all so much better in Canada and they use the exact same measures as Americans do. Those are objective facts

America is the only developed country on earth to not have free universal healthcare. Why is that? Why does nobody on earth want the awful American system where people die because they can’t afford insulin?

What kind of idiot would believe those numbers? Secondly, the U. S. ranked higher than most countries, even considering that ridiculous sample. Third, you're asking me why we don't have universal healthcare? Why would you ask me i I'm so stupid. Use your brain. In face of overwhelming evidence, that Canada has better education, healthcare, and consistently ranked as happier, you still prefer a place that has worse education, worse healthcare (and healthcare outcomes), more expensive healthcare (americans spend twice on private insurance than Canadians do on taxes), and less happy.
