I’m not talking Rolex. But like hublot/jacobs &co. A watch that doesn’t look expensive but looks nice. Just because, you can get mugged it’s too much risk.

I don't think much of that scenario. If you are afraid to wear a real expensive watch, then you buy yourself a fancy $500K car, put it in a garage to rot and drive a cheap $10K car and you live in a 1 bedroom apartment while your S10 million mansion sits empty.

All that because you are afraid of being mugged.

In that case, would it not be better to give your entire fortune away to charity and live in a one bedroom apartment, drive a 3rd hand japanese car and wear a fake watch?

You can’t mug a house. Someone holds a knife to you then you have to give up your 60k watch. A watch can be safely stored wrapped up and safely insured elsewhere. It’s an investment. Your argument doesn’t make sense
