u +1 ythe passion of a thousand suns...
and I do not mean to say that I lack passion in my life, nor that I am not passionate... but I do mean that kind of drive that makes people pursue their one thing about them, that passion.. and then they do take it to some incredible levels but also the more simple way, in which some people have that something that is incredibly fulfilling to them so it becomes a great part of their life
hell, I sometimes even feel envious (in a good way) about people that go absolutely bananas about locomotives/trains lmfao... or any other thing/hobbies/career-jobs
I just think it is great to have that in your life, personally... my passion and focus, my drive is more spread onto a few things... rather than one or few that are absolutely intense30 Reply

@MCheetah maybe just stop being so full of yourself and misanthropic
4.9K opinions shared on Other topic. A heart of gold. My father is such a person. He forgives and can move on, he holds no grudges. He can be angry at you but he moves on completely, and I can't do that. I feel angry at myself because he isn't angry at me. Because it feels like he let it go easy and I don't think I deserved it. He's to me the definition of unconditional love. And I don't always agree with it. I sometimes see it as a weakness, because toxic people will hurt him and he puts up with it. He doesn't say "fuck this, I'm calling it quits" like I would do, but just puts up with it. Without a happy ending. Welcoming embrace, warm smile, no matter who it is. I don't agree with it, but I'm jealous of it, that he can do that. I don't understand.
I will forgive, but I can never forget.

+1 yWhatever trait it is that makes people comfortable with confrontation. I struggle with this greatly, being rejection-sensitive and all. I have a friend who's more than comfortable with it, and he's even energized by calling out shitty behavior of friends, family, and random online strangers and talking about it with them. There's a part of me that's really envious of that courage he has to just say it straight to their face.

@exitseven well you are a man, so you can… you just need the 32oz wide mouth bottle!

@exitseven Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. I do hope that all is well, and if not that it is able to be well soon. Take care, Laura 💋

Oh no! That all sounds awful! Im so sorry that you have had to deal with this for so long, yet still it’s causing you so much discomfort and pain! I hope you have developed a more healthy view towards brutality and violence given how much you’ve suffered because of it? I mean going from “I liked the brutality of it. All the violence of football and none of the protective gear” to surgery and Gerry watching you void (pee). Maybe all that protective gear is not such a bad idea after all? I truly hope you will be okay!

I never pushed my kids to play football or hockey. They saw me run marathons and they were both on the track team. My daughter was on the soccer team. I met a guy that played college hockey. He got hit and had a spinal cord injury. I met this guy while he was rehabbing in a pool at the gym that I used to go to. He got better and played hockey in his senior year. He got hit again and injured his spine again. This time he wasn't as lucky. He is confined to a wheelchair. I realize that I used ot do stupid things as a kid. I'm really doing okay. I am in my 50s and still can do most of the stuff I did in my 20s only not as fast.
- +1 y
@exitseven That’s great that you can still do most of the stuff you did in your 20’s. I don’t know much about fifty something years old men, but I imagine that would be quite an accomplishment. You must be very happy that you can still do what you did in your twenties.
- +1 y
@exitseven Artificial hip and not running aside for a moment, You can still do most other things you did in your twenties, and THAT is something to celebrate 🎉
Good luck, Laura - +1 y

Bigfoot isn't real 🙄
My dad swears that he saw one though... lol. - +1 y
I think I saw one once.
It was a dark and stormy night. Strapped to the rusty hood of a passing truck. It woke up and started flailing about. In the rear view mirror I saw it jump off and run into the woods.
That might have been little foot though. Not sure. It was dark. I really admire them both. - +1 y
Maybe the darkness was playing tricks on you?

@bigpauly I'm kind of the same way. I'm not really shy, but I'm quiet and won't add to the conversation if it's about something that doesn't interest me. I'm just waiting for the conversation to end, lol...
