Would telling someone that's single ''you can still adopt'' taken as an insult?

If they're single, have no luck in relationships and someone tells them ''you can still adopt'' is that actually an insult, esp if they're fertile but just missing a partner?

They always say adopt as if that was the first and only option left. I heard someone once telling that to some normal, fertile woman in her late 20's. It actually made her feel worse.

Frankly, very few people would settle for just adopting if they're fertile. I'm a single woman and when my mother initially suggested me to adopt a child, I went to a fertility clinic before deciding my options. I'm still fertile, have a good ovarian reserve and have no health issues. Why would I want to adopt as a first resort?

If I'm fertile and can afford having an IUI or IVF if it doesn't work (resulting in a pregnancy), why would I want to settle for just adopting?

It sounds a bit offensive to me. It sounds like they're mocking you and they don't even know if you want to have kids. Some people are happy in a relationship without kids.

Yeah, it's an insult. It means you ate no good and won't find a partner so adopt a kid if you want a child. No one will fuck you.

I don't think many fertile people want to settle with just adopting. Usually adopting is either the last resort when someone is really infertile or the person already had their own kids.

I personally think I would be okay marrying a girl even if she got pregnant from someone else. Some random guy I don't care as long as she stays true to me.

And once a girl who didn't want children also asked me this if she couldn't have children would I be alright and I told her I would be fine but open to adoption. She had divorced so I was actually fine even if she had children from her ex. I would raise them like my own. I love children okay, is that too much to ask. I can't hurt or take my anger on a child. They are innocent 😇. I may or may not forgive cheating but I sure will be up to raising them as my own and pretend that there mom was good. I just can't stop thinking that God will be angry if I was harsh on people.

yes that is insulting. they think that you are basically not good enough for a partner, and belittling you by saying that "well there's still adoption" like... they need to mind their own business is what i'm saying.

This and honestly I can't think of any single woman that's fertile settling to just adopting. That woman wanted her own child.
