It’s not like there's a baby mother/father to have to worry about who could come in between you and your partner/the kid. The kid may also start to see you as the secondary parent that they never had, if thats’s what you want of course

Personally no, that's not appealing to me. If I raise a kid I want it to be mine.

I'd also question the mentality of someone who would intentionally become a single parent, knowing that they're intentionally stunting their childs development by denying it a parental figure in the form of their father/mother.

That is factually inaccurate. Children have the best chance in life when they have both the mother and father present.
