Why are there so many arrogant people that exist in the world? ! ?

They disguise themselves as being a nice (even moral) person, but in reality, they are just selfish pricks that want to appear BETTER than others!

These people, if they perceive you to be of a lower class or status than them, they will not even be kind to you! They will just IGNORE you. However, if they think that you are a benefit to them in some way (dating, marriage, sperm donor, job/career opportunities, etc.) or higher in status/class (however they define that), THEN that is the time they will be kind or extra nice to you! Otherwise they forget you!

Why do a lot of humans act like that!

It has everything to do with competition and them getting caught up in the whole hierarchy/status of living. I typically find those people offensive. If they judge you based on your income or what you have, they obviously don't know the real meaning of life.

Clawing your way to the top, often leaves you with no real friends when you get there.

I think you pretty much nailed it. I think dear/anxiety is as much of a factor in arrogance as it is in more obvious character traits. It's sublimated in a different way but it springs from the same source. Esp. men who think that admitting to fear is cowardly and - consciously or not- allow it to grow into anger. Why simply be miserable on your own if you can make everyone around you miserable also- often the result of fear morphing into anger. Really like your username

I know right! People like that have no values and they think they're superior when they're miserable. Unfortunately our world has a lot of people who act like that. They're just thinking about themselves and nothing else.

They are definitely insecure people who were abandoned when they were little or haven't been taught morals

Insecurity? Well they're doing a fine job at solving that because everytime I look at Quora or Facebook, Instagram or TikTok or whatever is popular nowadays, I find tons upon TONS of "insecure" people who are being appraised for their insecurities! What a great problem to have!
