My son, when he was a teenager used to put hand lotion on his hands everyday because he had such dry hands. One night he was on the couch and grabbed the bottle of lotion off the table and put it all over his hands. When he woke up in the morning his hands were bright orange. He was scared and called 911. When they arrived in full gear, they looked at the bottle of lotion still sitting on the table from the day before. It turns out he globbed my SELF-TANNING lotion on his hands not regular lotion. It tanned his hands alright 🤗

The one time I really needed them was SLIGHTLY funny ion that, when I called, I was soaking went and completely naked!! I was in the shower and just finished washing my face and I looked down to see that the water (slightly backed up) in the tub was blood red!! I searched every orifice to check for bleeding and couldn't find ANYTHING!! I even checked the shower nozzle because I'd seen a horror movie decades before where a girl was in the shower and blood started coming out of the nozzle!! Finally, the only place I hadn't looked was my feet, which were ankle deep in red water. Lo & behold, the blood was squirting out of my right ankle towards my left ankle!! I have NO idea how that hole got in my leg, it WASN'T there before I started washing my face!! I turned off the shower and did the best I could to stop it which, included getting a plastic shopping bag to put my foot in to keep the blood from getting all over the house as I go downstairs to use the phone but, even that bag didn't help!! I HAD to keep my hand over the hole so, there's NO WAY I could get dressed!! so, I called up 911 and told them I needed help but that I was completely naked. They came over and stopped the bleeding and I was able to jump into some close so they could take me to the ER to find out and stop what was going on!

Now, if you want a FUNNY 911 story, try this one! It's about a guy that got a broken neck (or, at least his collar bone) because he decided to clean his motorcycle!

He wheels his bike into the living room of his house through a set of sliding glass doors. Gets a metal bowl and pours gasoline into it and uses that with a rag, to clean his bike! When he's cleaning the front end of it, he's standing with the front wheel between his legs as he cleans off metal its around the handlebars and accidentally revs it up and it goes crashing through the glass doors with him on the front wheel!! Then runs over him into the yard and falls over. His wife hears the crash, finds out what happened and calls 911! They come get him to take him to the ER to get all the glass out of his body and to mend anything else that might've gotten hurt. While in the hospital, the ambulance crew switched shifts so, it was a different set of guys that took him back home so, they had no idea why he was in..
While at the hospital, his wife decided to try to clean up the mess in the living room and, at one point, took the bowl of gas and dumped it into the toilet but, didn't bother flushing it! He comes home all bruised and beat up and has to go take a shit before going to bed for a rest up. He's sitting on the same toilet with the gas in it and lights up a cigarette and tosses the match into the toilet!! KABOOOOM!!! The wife finds out what happened, calls up 911 again and the same guys that JUST brought him home come right back to pick him up!! All they've got to carry him out on is a stretcher so, as they're carrying him out to the ambulance, the wife is walking with them and telling them the whole story. The guys with the stretcher are laughing so hard, they accidentally dump him off the stretcher onto the ground and break his neck!!

I was configuring a modem on my old computer back before broadband and used dial up modems. There were some automatic settings. a lot of phone systems used to make you dial a 9 to get an outside line and then when you dial a ling distance number you had to dial a 1 before the area code. I did not disable these settings and when I tested the modem, the modem already dialed the 9 for the outside line and a 1 for the long distance call. I dialed another 1 before the area code. A few minutes later the local cops pull in my driveway and rang the doorbell and asked me why I called 911. It was then I realized why the modem did not work.

My son when he was a toddler, picked up the phone that my wife had left on the bed and dialed 911 while plating with it. I guess it is kind of funny now but the cops when they showed up were not happy, Especially because the 911 operator could not talk to any one since I was in the yard and my wife was in the other room.
