Only boring people get bored. Do you agree with this?

Question

I think the phrase "Only boring people get bored" is not entirely true XD While it is true that some people may be more prone to boredom due to their personality or lifestyle, it is also possible for anyone to experience boredom from time to time, regardless of how interesting or engaging their life may be.

Plus, boredom can be seen as a signal that something needs to change or that there is a need for a new challenge or activity in one's life. In this sense, boredom can be a positive thing that can motivate people to seek out new experiences and opportunities for growth and learning.

So, while it may be true that some people are more prone to boredom than others, the statement "Only boring people get bored" oversimplifies the complexity of the human experience and the various factors that can contribute to boredom.

Here we are, at our pc or phone, free to do whatever we want, but instead we choose to complain that we're bored. All that freedom and you do nothing with it, that's on YOU. The greatest enemy of freedom is indecision.

abc3643 · Accepted Answer

That is most definitely true. Those who are bored lack imagination and curiosity.

I'm as boring as dirt and I rarely get bored! I'm too busy finding ways to keep busy or not be bored. I guess it depends on the individual and his or her perspective.

Looooool I don’t because I think I’m a fun person and I asked a question a couple of days ago saying I was bored……

Potteplante · Answer

I disagree - being bored just means you're out of tune with your interests. And you can't always be in tune with your interests.

I'm bored every time I wash my hair - highly doubt that makes me a boring person.

mobiusforniner · Answer

I have a lot of toys and hobbies. Maybe too much. I don't get bored because I'm often too preoccupied trying to either fix things or keep myself mentally or physically engaged with something.
