Do I have a case in small claims court against my car being towed?

Live in a condo complex with my girlfriend. She has a reserved spot in gates and I park in front lot in front of hoa office where guests can park. Sometimes I get off work late and park in this extra space next to a corner parking space that is not an actual painted parking space. Me among others have parked in this extra spot for years and nothing has been said by the hoa about not parking there and there are no signs against it and it does not restrict any cars or parking and is not on any painted curb and doesn't block any fire hydrants etc. One morning at 5:30 am with no warning my car got towed. The tow company towed my car to a lot more than 10 miles from my place which I've read in Los Angeles is supposed to be within 10 miles I guess. Also when I paid for my two with towing company they refused to take my cards and said their card reader was down and I took out cash and they also said they only take exact change and can't give cash back. It seems like I have a case if I were to go to small claims court but what do you think. Also should I take the tow company to small claims for only taking exact cash and towing more than 10 miles away or my HOA for bot warning me about my car at all before having it towed.
