Last year I was diagnosed with diabetes, and later broke my foot. Then I was homeless for a few months. I started writing a book series and finished 4 books so far, but my laptop battery doesn't charge anymore, so it has to stay plugged in all the time. All I have to my name is this laptop and some clothes. My apartment is full of cockroaches, and now gnats are everywhere too. I'm responsible for the gnats, and the floors are made of cement, which I can't get clean because they always look dirty, and apparently the stove is dirty, which I never use. I just got assigned a case manager and he is helping me get some things for my apartment, but I'm soon going to be evicted and back out on the street because I cannot get this place clean no matter how hard I try. Last time I spent all the money I had on cleaning supplies, which I was still told my place was dirty. I'm cursed, right?

That all sucks, and I feel bad that you’re in that situation. But I don’t think you’re cursed. I think you likely have less support than you need and you don’t have enough time to make a name for yourself. I suppose it’s pretty hypocritical, but I believe you can get through this and it may take another year, but you have too much life to live to give it up. And I truly believe in you. Not saying this just to be nice. I have a sense that you will make it to the other side. You might never be rich or have all your fantasies come true but you can live a fulfilling life with time.
Maybe you're right. I just overthink and re-overthink. There's nothing I can do now. I might as well accept it. I kept thinking I was cursed. It's just been a stressful year. Thanks for replying back.
I know what you mean and I’m in the same boat. Don’t even want to pretend I’m not a blind leading the blind. But I know things will work out for you. It will suck temporarily but keep looking to the future.
