for me i've never had a pet before and kinda considering getting one. want either a bunny, a cat (persian, ragdoll, birman or norwegian forest) or maybe a dog (like a shiba inu, samoyed or pomeranian)

No pets anymore, but grew up with dogs, for 25 years had cats. Just remember if you have a dog and no space for it, you have to walk it three to four times a day and pick up after it. And if it sheds, you have to vacuum regularly.

If you have cats that are inside only, your house will need litter boxes that contain the odors of urine and poo yet still need to be cleaned daily. You'll need scratching posts because cats need to scratch on areas that are NOT your furniture.

The shedding equation also applies to cats. Some people are allergic to cat and dog dander. Make sure you're not one of them.

Though rabbits are adorable looking, they are not companion animals like cats or dogs. Not smart or interesting.

Large birds are both smart and interesting. That could be another choice.

But think about what you want from having a pet. And consider how involved you want to be in pet care. Cats are far less trouble than dogs. Dogs are high maintenance and highly dependent on you and your care. They NEED your time and attention. Cats are fairly independent and hang around you when they'd like some of your time. But they go off on their own: esp. indoor/outdoor cats. You'll see them for meal time and when they want to snooze at home.

Weigh all these factors and be realistic about the amount of free time you have and IF you want to spend it caring for a pet. Also consider the costs. Vet care has become very expensive. Talk to a vet about such costs. You might need to buy health insurance for a pet.

My wife and I have two cats right now.

One is a sweet girl named Coco. She's around 18 years old and very petite. She only weighs 5 lbs. She's a chocolate-brown, full blooded Burmese with cream-colored under coat. She's as sleek as a panther.

Our other cat is a super fluffy marmalade-orange, part Maine coon with a tail like a squirrel. His name is Poatie (short for POTUS, named after "the orange man"). He is a little over two years old and weighs 16 lbs.
