I have only one and it is for emergencies only. And things have to be really, really, really, really, really, really, REALLY bad if I'm to use it. My wife and I have a pretty thick cash cushion specifically for emergencies, and we also have cash funds set aside for big purchases (new cars, new phones, furniture, and so forth), but we do not rule out using them for serious situations if anything ever gets to that point.

So basically, we're financially very well insulated from situations where I might have to use said credit card.

I have 4 or 5, but I only use two.

I have about a $7k balance on one that has a 1% interest rate. I use that for on-line purchases.
The other one is my wife's CostCo cash-back card that we use for gas and groceries. She pays that off every month so that we don't have any interest payments.

Between me an hubby… maybe 3.
we have a join for foreign travel. No foreign transaction fees. With 1 or 2 % back. We use this the most and pay off every month. So we get money back. We never max out … one time I wanted to max out to buy a car to get points. ( because I pay it off the next week). But they only allowed $3k to be charged.
it’s not a way to make a lot of money.. but it’s a way to beat the credit system.

Just one. No, I make money off my card not the other way around. I prefer to pay straight cash for everything but we lived in a f***ed up world that punishes people for being responsible. So I have a card, I use it, but I never carry a balance. And I only have the card because I would lose my credit altogether if I didn't. And having no credit (been there) is actually worse than bad credit.
