Why do parents get upset when their daughter had s*x?

Well let’s say you have a teenager, teenagers aren’t exactly known for their intelligence when it comes to sex and many will prioritize pleasure over safety. If I had a daughter and she got herself knocked up I’d be pretty upset that she’s effectively derailed her future or even thrown it away depending on the decisions she makes. Same would go for a son, if he knocked up a girl and became a teen parent I would be upset because again that’s his future he just derailed

If they are still in middle school or high school, then they have every right to be upset. Had a handful of girls in my middle school who got pregnant at 14/15 years old.

I remember one of the pregnant girls told the teacher her Dad cried when she told him she was pregnant.

Sure, sex may be fun. But you sacrifice your education because you are going to be absent so much.

Baby becomes first priority.

Because they think they can control you forever and then they realize they can't, and they also realize you're not a little girl anymore and don't want to accept the fact you have to grow up sometime. Just don't get pregnant with some loser's baby.

Sex leads to pregnancy that leads to child, which is a grandchild for the parents, which means they are getting old, and people don't like to think about getting, or being, old

This will be something we ourselves will have to experience in many years to come with our own daughter... Although my husband swears blind that she will not be allowed any boyfriends until she is at least Eighty Years Old! lol

Strangely enough it was something very similar my own Father told me, and look how wrong he got it!! lol

It depends upon the specifics. If she's 13, especially if he is an adult, absolutely. If she's 25 and married, I would hope not. If she's underage and living in their home, most likely yes.
