Arnold says that it takes resistance to grow. To fail and then get up again will make you strong. Is he right about this?

The boys wanna wear girly make-up and the girls wanna look butch.
Arnold is right on! It's hard to picture our U. S. military with a bunch of girly boys in it. Won't say nothing about the women, cause I don't know what their trip is in the military other than being raped 🤷🏼♀️10 Reply

But rather, you need the right balance of masculine and feminine energy.
Unfortunately a lot of men these days are not imbued with strong masculine energy due to weak father and male figures around them. They don't know how to be a man, of the necessity of struggle. This has a severely deleterious impact upon their life.
However, where I disagree is that 'feeling' is important, too. There is a need for femininity and nurture somewhere. Traditionally, a lot of men would have gotten this from a good woman. But nowadays, with traditional structures breaking down and a lack of reliability of this being of necessity there; often, it's necessary to be a complete person. To work on the feminine and masculine aspects within yourself. So yes, go out there and work, and struggle. But know when to chill, relax, do nothing, look after yourself and nurture. This provides the nourishment to sustain your work. If you just work and work and work you burn yourself up. You can even get ill, your blood pressure goes up, you have to find solace in substances and addictions etc. So he provides and important but incomplete picture.

There's a difference between overcoming obstacles that are natural and inevitable, like not being as fast/strong/smart/educated as that other person, and obstacles that are intentionally designed to put you down.
The former, nobody can do anything about, and they really are character building. What I hope we're trying to move towards is a society that doesn't put people down, doesn't bully them, but builds them up instead. Society is stronger when everyone sticks together.
Nobody thinks a participation trophy is the same as a gold medal, but it does show people respect for trying.
(My father, by the way, said the British Army considered American campaign medals as participation trophies. As usual the British ended up following suit.)
Oh, having watched the video, he's talking about all the people like the ones who have blocked me on here because they only want to hear people who agree with them and not the facts. Then, maybe.

Using a hands off figure it out yourself policy can also work. Using a work very very hard motto can work. Using a be a good person motto can also work.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYes and no. I would say more accurately that without challenging yourself you'll never learn where your limitations lie and if you don't know them how can you know what needs work in your life. So in a roundabout way he's right. Hard times do not make you better person. But hard times can teach you what you're capable of what you need (not want) to survive. Hard times will make you humble and teach you humility. But Hard times will not make you driven to succeed. That has to come from within. That has to be part of you character already. Hard times can bring it out of you. But it cannot give it to you.

No, it’s actually that there was a flaw in the system that led to a new cultural trend and when BC came out, it made having sex a the more easy. Just like there’s a flaw in your ideology, it will eventually lead back to conservative thinking as we’ve seen time and time again.
I must’ve forgot all the men that constantly say they want to sleep with promiscuous women? SMH - +1 y
New? This problem begun 60 years ago and has been steadily increasing ever since people stopped saving themselves for marriage. What is your body count? The reason you don't accept the facts is because you yourself sleep around but do not want to consider yourself so, thus you have to use liberal ideology for how you define promiscuous. Every man who has ever had sex outside of marriage has slept with a promiscuous woman and is himself also promiscuous. You didn't forget all the men who sleep with promiscuous women, you actively choose to turn a blind eye to it because you are one of them and therefore part of the problem.
- +1 y
When did I say that this was new? I said that Feminism has existed for thousands of years and all these sub movements are just part of the cycle. My body count is actually just above average (thanks for playing by the way)? Also, thanks for also assuming men and women are the same - the studies show that promiscuous women tend to be unstable and before you say anything, I have tried to date women like that, but it ended just as expected.
Fun fact: promiscuous to me is women who have usually above the average body count which is 7 - 9 here in the US ---- oh, and the average for men in the US is 6 - 8, so it's actually you being the hypocrite lol.
Also, because you're as blind as the mother that bore you, leftist and rightist ideologies go back and forth throughout history (in conjunction with the rise and fall of an empire --- as it is happening now in the US). No, it's actually women like you that do nothing but bitch when things don't go your way --- we men accept that the rules are unfair. We're not the ones starting movements and complaining. - +1 y
"No, it’s actually that there was a flaw in the system that led to a NEW cultural trend and when BC came out, it made having sex a the more easy"
There.
Your body count is above average when the average person is promiscuous? Thanks for proving my point there. And you regard someone to be promiywhen their body count is above average, but you admit that your body count as above average therefore making you promiscuous by your own definition. I'm glad at least admit that you're promiscuous. And I'm not a hypocrite at all, I think everyone who has extramarital sex is promiscuous (as is how conservatives believe) and I have never had sex outside of marriage. So no, I'm not a hypocrite at all.
As for whining, I am not the one here who posted complaining about weak men, that was you. You are the whiner. I don't complain because I have nothing in my life to complain about. I have taken the responsibility to make good choices iny life, and as a result live a great life full of wonderful, no whining, non liberal people. Just like my mother and father before me. And the rules are not unfair at all, that's just another one of your effeminate whining points. - +1 y
@LazerBean A new cultural trend WITHIN that empire or civilization. We've seen these patterns over and over again throughout different civilizations around the world SMH Why are you twisting my words -- are you that incapable of reading English? I said for WOMEN who have above the AVERAGE body count I DEFINE it as unstable (not damaged). You define things differently and that's perfectly fine. I don't date men, so maybe you see men with high body counts the same.
Also, because you cannot seem to read English, I said MEN and WOMEN are NOT the same. I'm going to start calling you a gorilla because we're all same apparently. Only had sex with one guy huh? Good for you!
You JUST wrote that your grandfather was complaining about weak men. And no, I'm not complaining about it, my whole point is it is what it is exactly - a moment in history just repeating itself. If anything I'm glad because it's less competition for me, but bad for society obviously.
No, unlike the only monkey you made love to, I don't complain that the rules are unfair if you compare them 100% between men and women's worlds --- I accept that they are. I was trying to give you another POV to add, but rather you started getting all angry and bitching at me simply because you can't handle it when someone disagrees (am I misogynistic now? LOL).
Slave to my penis huh? I suppose it must be nice to find the only guy in the world that would accept you, but no, I (including MOST men) would rather be with a girl that I love. In fact, I was, but she was a girl with a high body count that ended up cheating on me and I left, growing all the stronger. I was very happy that she cheated on me because she's a total mess now so I avoided a bullet. At the end of the day, I chose the wrong people and I paid for it, not because I was slave to my penis (assumption after assumption SMH).
