Please help. I don’t want to loose my Spooky girl just yet.
My cat is sick, skinny and wobbly?
Please help. I don’t want to loose my Spooky girl just yet.
pancreatic cancer possibly. don't know.
never heard of anal gland burst... something going on in digestion. I odn't trust cat foods... what is all that junk. nothing like fresh mouse or real food. I'd probably try real chicken soup broth...
14 is pretty good for a cat these days!
Did they check her blood sugar, could be diabetic, or I have had 2 cats that their intestinal walls were thickening and they couldn't absorb the nutrients.
They were basically starving to death on a full stomach.
Could be kidney failure.
It is so hard to lose them.
I lost 2 in one week.
I was crushed.
Hopefully she will recover.
It's hard when they get older.

She needs to go to a different vet, that one obviously didn't look close enough to find the problem.
Have them check for infections, fever, internal or external parasites, celiac disease, food intolerances, allergies, or organ issues, and anything else they can think of. (Mention the burst anal gland as well, it may have been an entry point for an infection or parasite or just her gut bacteria/fungus entering the blood)
It could be something as simple as needing to change her diet, or something more serious. Hopefully they find the cause, in the meantime, try to keep her as comfortable as possible.
Try changing the food to sensitive stomach food. It is a little more expensive but it helped my cat. Gradually add it to the food you currently use. Give 1/4 new food to 3/4 old food for 2 days. Then 1/2 & 1/2 . Then 3/4 &1/4 until it's all the new food
Make sure her food bowls are clean. Get her teeth checked. Don't let her outside as someone might be poisoning mice in their house and she is eating poisoned mice.
I would take her to a new vet to get the test redone. The first vet might have miss something seriously wrong.
Maybe work on changing up her diet and see if that helps. If the vet did a kidney function test and that came back okay the car may have a virus that they did not test for.
Sounds spooky. Could be something hard to test or unfixable like stomach cancer. 14 is a good run for a cat.
I would start changing certain things in her routine. Like cat food, let her outside (some sick animals eat grass to settle stomachs) maybe even provide more places for it to climb.
Take the cat to a veterinarian first thing in the morning
I'd go to a different vet and get her checked.
Different vet asap.
Try different meds or different vet.
It could be that she needs a special diet.
