Ummmmm I guess so, as far as gifs and memes are concerned. Maybe even jokes. Not everyone has the time to make their own original content right?
Thinkers and philosophers have it different coz in my opinion what they do is, they quote each other unlike taking the ownership.

In Polish we have a phrase for it, which translates to English: "I'm stealing it!" What means, I will share it further :D
