Why do so many people hide under anonymous?

I occasionally use it so I can be more blunt than normal without being blocked.

Politics and religion tend to be the topics I'd do that with because in both areas the woke mob with "cancel culture" mentality walk among us seeking to silence opinions that challenge what they think instead of engaging with the person. It degenerates into personal insults then hitting "block" before a reply can be sent.

I'm certain that's why the people who have blocked me do it. Like it's so difficult to scroll past an opinion on here 🤣🤣🤣

I agree we are all anonymous but I could see people might want an extra layer at times due to the personal information they put in.

Safety. I post 80% anonymously because I've been stalked by a crazy pink on this site and it's simply not worth the hassle. Besides, good advice is good advice. It shouldn't matter who it's coming from. And if it really bothers someone they do have the option of ONLY asking questions that allow non anon.

i might be a lot of thing and i do admit not all of them are necessarily good but i was never a cowardf and i will never be i do not fear anyone or anything (aside from height if i have to admit i have acrophobia no amount of exposure does work (trust me i tried everything i could think)
