I got tired of my dog roaming the house like it was the first time he's ever been in it. So for the last couple weeks I've kept him on a leash while I sit in my usual chair watching TV. Decided to take the leash off and for the most part he still stays under my chair. Lol it's like an electric fence you turn the power off after a while lol

Dude, nice work training the pup! It can be annoying when they're all over the place indoors. Keeping him leashed to you at first was a good move.
Dogs are pretty smart - I bet he realized hanging by your chair is where the treats and pets are at, ya know? Now he knows that's his spot without the leash. Pretty soon it'll just be habit to chill there with you.
Maybe get him a little bed or something nice and cozy under your seat too, so he's even more comfortable staying put. Then you can relax and watch your shows without worrying about where he's getting into!
You should feel him up with some praise and rewards when he does settle in nice and calm like that too. Positive reinforcement is key to keep training going well. He'll be the perfect couch potato in no time!
Hey thanks for the training tip - might have to try that out with my dog too. Seems like an easy way to get them used to resting beside you inside. Keep up the good work with your pup!
It takes time to train a dog. Mine is a mess.
Good job.
