Where were you 27 years ago on March 9, 1997 when the Notorious B. I. G. aka Biggie Smalls died that day?

Who here was actually old enough to remember what it was like when Biggie’s death happened? How did it make you feel at the time? Was the news big enough that it spread globally?

He was only 24 years old when he died. Murdered at 24 years of age. He's been dead longer than he was alive.

This happened at the end of my senior year in high school. Tupac was killed earlier, in the fall, right at the beginning of the school year. It was really crazy to live through. We lost Kurt Cobain and Eazy-E when I was maybe a sophomore, that was rattling too, but it was different because it wasn’t murder.

And with that, came the rise of Puff Daddy, lmfao. Safe to say, it was not the same. But I remember being away in a college dorm for the first time when I went to an orientation weekend that summer at the college I was going to be going to, and I’ll always remember waking up in the morning and going to the showers to get ready for some placement exam, and I’ll Be Missing You was echoing through the hallways, it had just dropped, might have even been the first week it was out.

And are you ready for this one? I saw Biggie perform LIVE. He came to a popular theater near my part of the city, I was like 15, he had just come out with Ready To Die. That was actually my first concert, haha. It was great, I just wish I had realized what I was seeing at the time, and how it all would play out.

there's even a theory that connects biggies smalls death with tupac shakur (I don't know if thats how his name is spelled)

That theory has still yet to be further solved legitimately, it might’ve was the cops or guys from the west coast killed him after Pac got killed.

It's a shame that a young person such as Christopher Wallace was killed , especially over something TOTALLY STUPID. That said, the beginning of the terminal dumbing down of America was when people actually believed that his killing was expected, even warranted in some people's tiny brains because of some inane "East Coast/West Coast" rap rivalry. Excuse me, but I never heard of anyone being slain due to a regional rock, R&B, or Country rivalry.

Right even when asked if she ever had an affair with Tupac, she denies it even though Tupac mentioned it in his diss song to be called “Hit ‘Em Up” where he mentioned in the first lines “He claim to be a playa, but I f*cked your wife”

I was 22 at the time and only liked west coast rap, Snoop Dogg. I didn't even like Biggie. Now Tupac was another story.
