Why do people say Vodka makes you feel warm in the cold?

That is not true. You feel as cold as sober when you are drunk too. That seems to be a mythology about alcohol.

Alcohol can lower the amount pain when you get beaten up drunk but you feel the cold just as same based on my experience with alcohol. I also got beaten up under the influence of alcohol.

In Maine winter, I had coffee, bourbon and honey. Made me a new man in cold weather.
