That is not true. You feel as cold as sober when you are drunk too. That seems to be a mythology about alcohol.
Alcohol can lower the amount pain when you get beaten up drunk but you feel the cold just as same based on my experience with alcohol. I also got beaten up under the influence of alcohol.
