What makes the Early and Late 2010s so different?

Why does 2018 give off a different vibe than 2010 or 2011? What made it really feel like that?

I know for me 2010 gave off a different vibe because I was just leaving high school and entering college. By 2018/2019, I was facing a lot more responsibilities and life had become darker, more depressing. It went from colorful to dark knight. A lot of great celebrities died too after 2010 such as David Bowie, Robin Williams, Amy Winehouse, Cory Monteith, Paul Walker, Stan Lee, etc.

By the end of the 2010s, it had been a lot of deaths of beloved celebrities. I think two of the saddest deaths had been Stan Lee and Robin Williams.

And then it just got worse at the end of 2019 into 2020 with the pandemic.

Well, in 2010 Pennsylvania in the USA started off February 5th, 2010 with a snowstorm, and we lost electric from the 5th to the 7th in the afternoon during them days temperatures dropped below zero and electric came back on the 7th of February in 2010. Well, as much as year 2009–2020 politics sucked. Then come years 2021–2023 politics suck again. Look around at the prices and gas price, and you tell me to give Joe Biden 4 more years? Well, I will be a Son-of-bitch. It will be a cold day in hell I vote Democrat and I sure in hell won't vote for the asshole.

To my memory, every year since 2007, people have generally talked more and more about other people than about concepts. Additionally, the Trump-presidency years were each very, very different from one another. 2017 was a "Whoa dude! (whether positive or negative)" year, 2018 was a cool-temperment year, 2019 was mostly-harmless madness and 2020 was covid madness.

Well it was just coming out of the cheesy early 00s and didn't hit the super woke mid 10s yet.. People were still kinda chill, Facebook was still the prevalent social media, no HD everywhere, flashy colors became darker, minimalistic colors, there was less political division, etc..

For me it's the destruction of the integrity of America. The take over of the peoples choice to run this country became the choice of dirty corrupt politicians that have, over years in office, taken hold of unwarranted power to nullify a person's vote. They destroyed the very thing America is built on. Military tribunals from honest nonbiased judiciary figures to have investigated and indicted all members involved. Public executions carried out on television. The best way to fix and prevent future like actions.

That whole decade was like one big mush to me. There is really nothing that stood out except maybe when the old Yankee Stadium was torn down in 2009.
