In the second movie, they flipped the script! Instead of being sent back to kill Sarah Connor's son John, the Terminator's mission became protecting him. It's a cool twist and lets Arnold show a different side of the character, like a big, strong bodyguard.

The third movie is when he really stepped into his own, hero man, as Rise of the Machines. That 2003 era movie, it's still enjoyable and modern to this day. The gas station sequence, the sequences of Los Angeles and California from one minute city to highway to air force base to rural mountain, to base again, to wider landscapes. It's a gem of a movie 😁🎥

Terminator Rise of the Machines is so enjoyable, you didn't even need to see or love the first two films , or any after it either. T3 is the only one needed and enjoyed 😅😆💪🏻

After the 3rd movie, Terminator went into shit.

Technically, he is just a model (101) from a production line, so it's a new unit in every film.

Story-wise, it's just a great plot twist for new watchers, so why not.

It used to be actors got treated like the roles they played because people hadn't quite learned what to treat what they see as fiction. So that was probably a factor.
