In my opinion, the national news on TV (in the U. S) has become too politicized. There is also a lot of sensationalism. Do you watch TV news?
I sometimes watch the video footage of events, but I put very little stock in the editorializing that represents nearly all of mainstream news.
If a particular story interests me, then I will investigate using a wide variety of sources, and then draw my own conclusions. I don't need anyone telling me what I should think or believe. I am rational and skeptical and I am aware that every involved party likely has an agenda - whether they developed it on their own or they are just repeating something they heard (which is more common).

Only local stations, can't stand the network bullshit. After having FOX being played almost 24/7 my whole life and seeing how CNN, NBC, TYT, etc. all spin their shit I'm done with it all.
They're all guilty of "it's perfectly fine when my side does it, but it's bad and indoctrination when the other side does it!"

The broadcast national networks - CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, and PBS are, for the most part, fine news organizations and their broadcasts are to be respected.
It is the non-broadcast channels filled with opinionators that you have to be concerned about.
Do I watch the national news?
Not really anymore because now I live in the Central Time Zone, so the national news comes on about 5:30 PM CT with the local news on at 6:00 PM. This is unlike the coasts where local is 6 PM, but national comes after at 6:30 PM. 5:30 PM is too inconvenient for me. And, honestly, 6:30 PM is too inconvenient. I don't get done with work and chores until about 9 PM to 10 PM, so I don't bother much with TV at all.
I DO read newspapers and some sites though. I have subscriptions to the 3 "newspapers of record" in the US: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. I check these sites frequently for updates, so I am continuously getting the news. However, with all of them, I really don't bother with the opinionators or editorials much since they are often filled with a bit more bias. I am more concerned about getting straight news with links to sources.
For any source, I always check media bias sites such as:
All Sides
https://www.allsides.com/media-bias
and
Media Bias Fact Check
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/
both of which are pretty transparent about how they determine bias.Take it up with Obama. He removed laws that prevented the American government from directing targeting American citizens with propaganda. There is no such thing as the news through major media outlets anymore. It is all weaponized propaganda in an information war. The cabal has captured all of TV, radio, newspapers, major magazines, and they are currently fighting over control of the internet.
I watch news clips on YouTube, Rumble and centrist and right leaning news sites. I avoid MSNBCNNPRABCBS like Fentanyl. I know when they are distorting and lying because I can see and hear them on my screen. I don't even believe and and the.
Sometimes, but just to get a general idea of what's going on around the world at any given time. I don't bother with the details, because they're more often than not just lying about them.
TV? What’s that? I only had a TV for 10 years of my life time…here and there… haven’t had one for over 10 years. or more.
I am watching GBNews in UK. It has a policy of non bias and nearly always has represenratives from both left and right.
Nope. I have no need to. My phone tells me what the weather is and stuff, so I don't bother with anything else. The news only has politics and horrible things happening. But not much else is there.
I watch the main German news Tagesschau/ Tagesthemen as it is very factual and dry. Why do American news anchors always put their opinions into everything they deliver? The viewers can’t think for themselves?
No. After citizens united I assume all media is working for the highest bidder - which is to say far right billionaires. The only anomaly is MSNBC. I can't explain why they seem to be genuinely left wing in a way one might almost call productive.
No, I no longer watch any main TV news in the UK, The BBC, Channel 4 and Sky news are obviously biased, the only news I watch is the local news,
I watch only for the headlines. The rest of the time I like to do my own research, although I do still get a daily newspaper.
No. It's all corporate media and a reduction of very complex issues to whatever fits between commercials. It's very close to misinformation in its reductive qualities.
Occasionally I’ll watch news clips on YouTube or Twitter, but unless it’s a factual report they’re usually pretty hard to take seriously.
nope, I stopped during covid and never came back.
I just got so tired of it.
SSDD, it just didn't stop.I used to watch the dry comedy half hours. Not even that anymore.
I watch the local news mostly for thr weather and sports. I don't watch network news because it is not serious.
I watch CNBC in the morning. Mostly business news, but some politics and other issues. I listen to NPR on the way to work and browse different websites for news.
The only stuff I watch is on Fox. The one that Tucker used to be on, not the commercial one.
No, was never interested in it, its all bs anyway.
No. I just YouTube clips of the news on occasion.
