Pessimists are generally doomer based on how things seem to go for you. it can be just as faulty as an optimist really.

a realist will look at something at all angles and conclude something based on evidence. so a realist is more logic based than a pessimist.

If you are pessimistic all the time, then you are unsure of yourself and look for the negative things. You are a negaholic if you are a pessimistic person.

I can be either a pessimist or an optimist depending on the situation. I heard that Italians are generally realists, that's why it often seems like you guys don't have ambitions

I didn't say that. I saw that in one of those "Dating Beyond Borders" videos, and I didn't say it like it's a bad thing. But since you mentioned it, I definitely dislike Romans. As for Italians in general, I wouldn't say I dislike them, but I wouldn't date or marry one and I won't be writing home about them. Though they kind of made me not want to go back to Italy though, and I kind of understand why so many people do. A lot of Italians see tourists as suckers, but the thing that annoys me most about Italians is their arrogance. Their food is so boring, yet they act like it's the greatest thing ever invented, and they act like that about everything associated with Italy. They act as if there are no other great cultures in the world. I bet you if you pitted the worst cook in Italy against Gordan Ramsay, and had them both cook local dishes from their country, and had an Italian as the judge, the Italian would say the Italian guy's dish is better, simply because it's Italian. I saw a video before where an Italian guy was trying French food, and he was struggling so hard to admit that he loved it.

But I will say, I do like that you guys tend to mind your own business.

But Italians are also very vengeful and intimidating. I left a review saying that the property I rented was NOTHING as described online, and the owner texted me a few days later to remove the review.

Another lady from a tour agency went as far as to locate my private Instagram and message me. That's just creepy.
And another tour guide online said not to talk to her if you support Meloni. I can totally see her sabotaging one of her clients if she found out they support her.

There was also a guy in Positano who kept deliberately driving his moped in front of my mom's face, almost running over her foot, because she sat in his chair.

And first time in my life, I got into s scuffle with someone at the airport.

I'm a optimistic realist I guess. I'm pretty good at figuring out what will happen and how much effort it'll take to get what I want. But with people I think I could still stand to be a bit more optimistic. I'm more careful there.
