What’s an experience you went through that you’re too young to remember, but your parents or guardians told you about later on?

A couple of days ago, my mom told me that, one time, we were traveling to our hometown and we stopped at a gas station. When we went inside the convenience store, some lady started yelling racial slurs to us and other black people that were in there. My mom said we walked out without buying anything.
