Would you say Alcohol is much more harmful than Coca Cola, Pepsi?
By alcohol, I mean drinking to get drunk.

Alcohol is definitely more harmful if left unmoderated.
Getting drunk can put you into a weak position where anyone can take advantage of you (if you aren’t with company), drunk vehicle operators cause countless of deaths per year, I see people getting into bar fights and getting seriously hurt, fatty liver disease, alcohol poisoning, etc.
Coca Cola & Pepsi, as long as you moderate it you’re good. The excess sugars / carbonation isn’t good for your teeth and health honestly although I see it negatively impacting the individual not really others as bar fights / drunk driving do.
Point is, be safe out there & do everything in moderation and you’ll be fine. Also never leave your drink unattended, always take a drink if you see it actually being poured, don’t get into fights, don’t drink and drive, also be careful with soda since it can damage your teeth & hurt your health… It is nice to have drinks/sodas at a party if you know not to get carried away. Thank you!
If the average person only drank soda as often as they drink alcohol, soda is absolutely less harmful. But since more people drink way too much soda than people who drink too much alcohol, i’d be willing to bet soda is doing more to drive down the overall health of our society than alcohol is. Alcohol in moderation is even suggested to have health benefits. Soda does not. Caffeine and sugar both have addictive qualities, so it’s fair to suggest soda produces more addiction based disease than alcohol too.
This is all just speculation though. I’ve never really done a direct comparison myself.
By alcohol, I meant drinking to get drunk.
Not just 2-3 beers.
Drinking 70cl Vodka versus how many liters of Pepsi? Lol.
I already qualified that point. If you’re trying to make an ounce by ounce comparison, you’re being deliberately obtuse. Everyone i know who drinks soda drinks multiple liters a day. I’m an alcoholic. I’ve gone to meetings with some of the most committed drunks you can imagine and i’ve never met anyone who drinks liters of alcohol every single day.
Yes it is cause coke and Pepsi don’t get you drunk unless you mix them with vodka
Alcohol can cause arguments that escalate to physical fights
I never drink alcohol, I need to have the whole control of my life!

@GirlsAskGuys health disclaimers
correct about drunk, despite cola is very hi sugar it doesn't cause drunk showing less harm. of course over months such a cola sugar strain can cause diabetes so don't overdo sugar.
small amounts are fine a shot or 2 hard spirits 40% alcohol not in cocktail is fine but drunk starts to strain liver and might harm brain cells.
half liter 12 ounce can of beer is less alcohol and manageable but getting drunk is "drunk" in contrast to same amount or more cola, not drunk showing alcohol is worse but a bit enjoy.
saying "no alcohol is healthy" is too extreme and wrong
health disclaimers.
i would say alcohol is only more harmfull, cause it has the potential to kill you more quickly than cola and pepsi. sadly we do not have a good statistic that shows how many people actually die to the consequences of morbid obesity and malnutrition. the consequences of those are diabetes, heart problems or circulatory failures. but these problems can be had without malnutrition. i would say tho that being too fat and having a bad nutrition is probably the biggest killer overall and also the least statistically visible.
I'm not sure which is more harmful. All I'll say is I tried to clean out the radiator with radiator cleaner and it didn't do anything. I poured Coke in my radiator and let it sit over night. Never had another problem with it after that. Needless to say, I stopped drinking any soda pops after that😁
I know from experience it takes many more times the amount of sugary soft drinks than concentrated alcohol to get me puking nauseous.
Regarding sugary soft drinks I tried it when I was obsessed with those sweet fizzy drinks instead of drinking bland and boring water. I was 12 years old maybe.
And with alcohol one time I unknowingly exceeded what my body can tolerate. Nothing remotely crazy happened and no one knows it.
In both cases I don't want to do that again.
That depends on the person's body. Some people can drink lots of soda or booze every day and live a long time. Some people would get diabetes or liver failure if they did that. Like for example my friend's grandpa smokes like a locomotive and is 96
How many people are killed by a person drinking Pepsi or Coke and then driving versus someone drinking excessive amount of alcohol and then driving.
you don’t really drive under the influence of Pepsi
Alcohol is significantly worse. It can lead to diabetes with much less consumed than soda, plus it can lead to liver and pancreatic cancer. That isn't even considering the effects it has on behavior and decision making ability.
If you drink one glass a week, I would say Coca Cola is worse. If you drink one glass a day, I would say alcohol is worse than Coca Cola.
Drinking 70cl Vodka versus how many liters of Pepsi? Lol.
I don't know what 70 CL is because I don't drink that much and am very blind when it comes to alcohol word terms.
700 ml
0.7 L of Vodka
If you drink too much alcohol, you lose body functions. That's why DUI is so serious.
It would take an enormous amount of Coke or Pepsi to have a similar effect.
In moderation, alcohol is good for you Especially red wine.
I mean you can generally consume a lot more fizzy drink than alcohol before you run into health complications
Of course.
So many bar fights, people ending up in jail, pregnancies, traffic deaths, ruined relationships from drunk people.
Of course, drinking to excess is harmful. Brain, heart, lungs, esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, are all adversely affected by alcohol. There isn't really a body organ or system that is spared the ravages of alcohol abuse.
Alcohol might give you liver cirrhosis.
HFCS might give you obesity and diabetes.
Did you know Coke removes rust from chrome? Just saying.
Depends if a person has a medical condition such as diabetes. Sodas can be far more lethal.
They have a different kind of harm. Soda does not cause social harm.
Too much alcohol consumption can cause cirrhosis of the liver.
Coke did have cocaine in it when it first came out. You can pour it on battery acid to dissolve it. Both are bad for your liver and kidneys.
Alcohol makes coping with living in a hopeless world easier, the same can't be said about coca cola
Hell yes. Because with soda, you don't get drunk and do or say stupid things while being drunk.
Not Coke. Maybe Pepsi.
Pepsi and Coke don't impair you physically.
Yes, but both are bad.
All is bad. I drink none
Sure is.
Obviously
Lol. No.
it might be
