2.8K opinions shared on Other topic. My second car, when I was 18 in 1972, was a 1963 Buick Lesabre 2 dr hard top with a 401cu in engine and 4 barrel carb.
Mine was like the attached photos but midnight blue with a white top.
It was indestructible, super dependable, and bad ass like a battleship.
I christened it The Bismark.

My next car was a modified 1972 Chevy El Camino with wide tires and air shocks in the back. It had a small block 327 engine that had been bored out to 350; RV cams; a Hearst shifter; modified differential and trans. It was gold-colored.
I sometimes called it the Land Shark.
Those are the only two cars I ever named.10 Reply

1 yI had a 99 mercury cougar when I was 22. I loved that car but I didn’t name it until it got damaged in a flood and I actually didn’t own it anymore, and I named it lemon (because it was a lemon... always breaking, engine light was always on, etc)
My next car was a 2005 Mazda 6 and I named it Aqua, because it had a pretty blue-ish green color (literally the color of water). Good car until it reached age nine and it started breaking on me, and my ex at the time started treating me terribly. Towards the end I renamed the car my exe’s name because about 90% of my aggravation in 2014 was either my car breaking or my ex being an ass so I just made them one and the same. Then shortly after, the ex and I broke up, the car broke down permanently and my life was drama free.

6.3K opinions shared on Other topic. "Money Pit"

Wee hours of 21 JUN 2015 - Walmart, East Windsor CT I was pulling into this 24-hr Walmart right after work. I was about midnight or 1 AM. The car died right in the parking lot. I had to have it towed. Cost me about $2000 to repair on top of the previous $2000 I had just paid for earlier repairs.
I kept the car another 4 years because I did love it - it was stylish (a 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT) - and it was paid-off. But, in late July 2019, I drove it home to Missouri (I worked in Connecticut at the time) and said to myself "This car is not coming back." So, just before I returned to Connecticut, I bought a new car - my FIRST new car.00 Reply

Back in the 90's my first car was a really loud 66 Chevelle and my Irish granny named it "Roaring Meg". I also had a Dodge Caravan that I got in a trade for a bicycle. I gunned it up the on-ramp and one of my friends in the car said "what the fuck are we in, the Millennium Falcon?" The name stuck because it was a big white hunk of shit that was way faster than anybody thought, and kind of looked like a space ship. I had a Toyota Tercel that my friend sold me. His girlfriend called it the "Turdcel" because it was a beat up shitbox. I had a Impala that my brother called "The Pork Chop Express" because I'm kind of fat and drive fast. He got the name from Jack Burton's big rig in the movie "Big Trouble In Little China". He calls my Suburban that too because he thinks it hauls a lot of pork (me).

1 yOver time every car I've driven routinely has evolved a personality and a name.
Native Americans believe ANY 'tool' they've invested themselves with... has... or takes on a personality or 'soul'-like nature they term a 'manitou'. Purpose-built, to SOME degree it 'wants' to do its function as best it can under the ownership and circumstances.. (Animism) ;)00 Reply - 5.8K opinions shared on Other topic.
1 yI named my first car back in high school. Wasn’t very clever, lmao, it was a white 1994 Dodge Shadow, so I called it “The White Shadow”, after the old 70s sitcom I knew from Nick At Nite re-runs…
https://www.youtube.com/embed/T2-b0MidBjUNow I hear Nick At Nite plays all the shows I watched as a kid, holy smokes, I’m gettin’ old QUICK😂

I know bits a pieces of five. Nothing to save my life should a plane go down somewhere remote or something. Might help prevent getting bitten by a guard dog though.

Love and positive vibes Ms Dusty 🙂

That works huh? Natural reaction for the common man would be to curse and threaten and then call it sweet baby.

Yeah, that would cancel out the vibes. Positive energy works when it can
